I hope you all had a lovely break. Thank you to all the students and staff for a great first week back. A special thank you to our parents for ensuring your child returned in full uniform, with all their equipment, ready to learn.

This week I had the pleasure of touring groups of Year 6 parents and children around the school. It was lovely to meet some of next year's cohort with their parents. We look forward to welcoming them in September.

GCSE exams

GCSE exams officially started this week, with our Year 11 GCSE French and Spanish students completing their speaking assessments. Next week, our GCSE Art and Photography students will sit their final two-day exams. We were very impressed with the strong attendance at Easter School, and it’s been fantastic to see that same level of commitment continue into the start of this final, important term. Thank you to our families who attended the (second) Year 11 parents’ evening yesterday. Attendance was fantastic! We’re very proud of the focus Year 11 has shown so far, and we’re confident they’ll continue to give their best as the exam season progresses.

Special mentions

A few special mentions to make this week: Esme in Year 7, who has nurtured our colony of stick insects, both every day in school and at home during the holidays. Volkan in Year 9, who showed kindness and collaboration this week, Marques in Year 10 for his positivity and maturity, and Fiza and Charis in Year 10 who distributed refreshments during parents’ evening, including homemade cinnamon buns!

Notices

On Thursday 1st May we will hold our Options Fair for Year 9 parents and students. It will run from 4.45pm until 6.00pm.

Year 7 parents' evening is on Thursday 15th May.
