The show, titled 'Material World: Engineering the Future!', transformed the school theatre into a live TV studio.

Students joined the characters Alex, Jody, and Harry for an exciting exploration of the cutting-edge science behind our everyday objects. The performance, delivered by Altru Theatre company, provided a unique and engaging bridge between classroom theory and real-world application.

Through dynamic storytelling and interactive demonstrations, pupils were not just spectators but active participants, discovering:

• Materials Science in Action: the crucial link between raw materials and the high-tech world of tomorrow.

• Conquering Extremes: how specialised materials enable advancements in Aerospace and Marine Engineering, allowing us to reach the deepest oceans and highest skies.

• The Impact of Engineering: how materials science influences everything around us.
