The summer 2026 written examination period will run from Thursday 7th May to Wednesday 17th June 2026 for GCSEs. After this date, Year 11 students will not need to attend Orchard Park High School for regular lessons. However, the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) and the awarding organisations have set aside a contingency examination date in the event of national or significant local disruption to examinations.

The contingency examination date is:

• Wednesday 24th June 2026 (morning and afternoon)

This means all Year 11 students must be available from the date of their first examination up until and including Wednesday 24th June 2026. Please do not plan to be away before this date. 

Please make a note of the contingency examination date in the event that an awarding organisation needs to reschedule an examination. 

Certificate collection for summer 2025

Certificates will be available to collect from the school during the autumn term. Any uncollected certificates can be collected by arrangement with the Exams Officer. Please email 
exams@orchardparkhigh.net.
