Orchard Park High School

Congratulations to our girls' basketball team

The latest update from the Headteacher...

Year 9 options

This week our Year 9 students and their parents attended our Options Evening. Heads of Department spoke to families about their subjects and Ms Harper Clements and Mr Headley provided an overview of the process itself. It was wonderful to see so many of you supporting your child’s decision making. Many of them seem much clearer on the GCSEs they wish to take, some are still pondering the issue. We are always available to support with that should you or your child have further queries.  The link to the options form will be sent to students' school email account on Monday 1st May, and is due on Friday 5th May. This form can only be submitted once. Students will receive information on their confirmed options on the 14th July.

Girls' basketball victory

Well done to our Year 7 girls' basketball team who beat Harris Invictus with an impressive score line of 37-2. Soriyah was named player of the game.

Industrial action

The next date of industrial action is Tuesday 2nd May. The school will remain open for Year 11 and Year 10. Children will receive high quality lessons. They should ensure they have their full uniform and all their equipment for that day. Our PE department are busy preparing students for the Croydon Athletics Competition in May. We look forward to many medals.

If your child has not been invited into school and they are entitled to Free School Meals, you will be emailed vouchers. Should you have any questions on this, please contact Mr Fallon directly on 02087760220 ext. 108 or by email rfallon@orchardparkhigh.net.

The school will be providing remote education for those students not attending school through the Greenshaw Learning Trust website. Students should follow their regular timetable for that day, completing work in their exercise books.  As well as staying up to date with their Sparx and KayScience homework, the full curriculum for the day can be accessed here: https://www.greenshawlearningtrust.co.uk/virtual-curriculum

Wishing you a lovely bank holiday weekend.
