Rewards breakfast this week was for our superstars in Year 9. Well done to Lilly, Dave, Jayda, Holly, Lexi, Abdul, Lolly, Martha and Bismark who were nominated by staff for their hard work and brilliant behaviour. An extra special mention to Martha who spent time helping a Year 7 student after school and to Dave for trying so hard to be responsible and helpful in our community. 

Our Year 8 football team has been training hard, Ibrahim and Azariah being specifically mentioned by Mr Headley as excellent players. We wish them good luck in their first fixture next week, playing Sedgehill.

On Thursday 28th September we have our Open Evening from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. We will be closing the school early to allow our site and cleaning team to make preparations. Children in receipt of free school meals can collect a pre-packed lunch from the canteen as they leave. Dismissal times are as follows:

• Year 10 and 11 - 12.30
• Year 7 - 12.35
• Year 8 and 9 - 12.45

A reminder that our school jumper is compulsory. We adjusted this in light of the unusually hot September weather, but from Monday jumpers need to be worn. It is also a good time to remind families that coats must be plain navy or black (fur coats, patterns or coloured trims are not permitted) and must be at least the length of the blazer.
