Pure Black Soul

By Dajoni

One morning when the shimmering sun rose and the glowing moon set, in a tropical forest, where the birds sang all day, the chipmunks scavenged for nuts and the tree tops swayed left and right, there was an entrance to a cave, inside was a sleeping mother jaguar. A little black cub popped out from behind her. The cub walked out the cave, he looked around and continued on his little adventure. His brother, who was a jaguar with goldy fur, followed him to the entrance of the cave and watched his brother leave. Worried, the poor cub walked back to his mother and pulled her ear to wake her.

The black cub looked around left and right, being amazed at all that he saw, as if he was seeing the world for the first time. To his wonder his little curious eyes found a lake, playfully he walked to get a lick of water. After he was done, he was about to turn around and head back, but then, a scary growl emerged from behind the bushes. Suddenly, a male jaguar ‘The Rival’ pounced for the kill and in a blur the mother jaguar furiously pushed him back. Afraid, the cub ran behind a tree where he found his brother hiding.
