getting girls into professional sports

A group of eleven Year 8 students to attend the ‘Queens’ charity basketball event that focused on getting more girls playing basketball.

The event included a training session run by a professional coach, a powerful speech given by two professional female basketball players on the important role of education when taking the step into professional sports and finished with an inter-schools tournament. The team was captained by Adesuwa who went on to lead the team to a third place finish and the MVP (most valuable player) selected as Princess.
