Girls head to KPMG on International Women’s Day

As part of our International Women’s Day events on 8th March, Year 8 girls visited the KPMG London office for the ‘Opening Doors to Opportunities’ programme, which forms part of KPMG’s commitment to open their doors to one million young people by 2030.

The programme was designed to give students the insight, skills and confidence to thrive in the world of work. Supported by the staff at KPMG and Talent Foundry, students used some essential skills by taking on some of the challenges people face today while experiencing what it’s like to work at KPMG.

The visit provided our students with an essential insight into the world of work and allowed them to engage with KPMG colleagues from different parts of the business

Being part of the programme helped our students develop core transferable skills, including communication, problem-solving, thinking creatively, positivity, confidence, resilience, leadership, and teamwork. It also enabled our students to explore and learn about emerging and innovative technologies.

Overall, our Year 8 girls thoroughly enjoyed the day, and some have started thinking about working in such an environment.
