Parents and Students, please see revised guidance below about how to access and complete the new lessons on the Greenshaw website.

1.    Click on the lesson link
2.    Complete the questions
3.    Look at the pre-quiz results and note any mistakes
4.    Click on 'Show Lesson'
5.    Watch the full video and complete all tasks, pausing where asked to.
6.    Complete the 'Post Quiz'
7.    Note your answers, particularly any incorrect.
8.    Close the Greenshaw Website, click on the link to your next subject lesson for the day.

 

Daily Instructions for Year 7-9 students:

  1. Go to the Tutor Time Reading tab, find your year group and watch 1 reading session per day.
  2. Go to Remote Learning and find your Year Group Tab. *Have paper and pen ready.
  3. Click the links and complete the lessons for that day of the week. *See new instructions
  4. For all lessons, students should complete the Low Stakes Quiz and the Exit Ticket
  5. Extension Work- Students are encouraged to complete Memri and Fix up 5 tasks on the Hegarty maths site.
  6. Friday Mornings, go to google classroom and complete 'test for understanding' activities.
  7. Wednesday mornings, go to google classroom and access feedback from Fridays test for understanding, then follow the rest of the Timetable.
  8. At the end of the lesson, in addition to other work you are asked to do, you will be asked to complete an exit ticket. This must be done immediately.

Google Classroom

Students will use this at various points in the week, as instructed in the timetable.

  1. All student google passwords were reset on Friday, 08 January
  2. Your child’s Log in is: year joined, last name, first initial. Example for a year 7 named Usain Bolt: 20boltu@orchardparkhigh.net
  3. New Password: Student1
  4. If they haven’t already done so, please have your child log on to google and change their password once they are in.

 

Year 10 Instructions

We are delighted to announce that year 10s will move to live teaching from Monday 1st February. Students should:

  1. Access their lessons by clicking on the relevant subject in their Google Calendar
  2. Ensure their cameras are off and microphones muted before entering the lesson
  3. Follow their full school timetable and attend every lesson

Year 11 Instructions

  1. Log in to your Google account
  2. From the Google homepage, click on the apps (the 9 little dots) at the top right of page and select Calendar. You must access through calendar and not Google classroom
  3. You will find your full timetable on your calendar. If your lessons do not appear, look in the 'my calendars' tab on the left hand side and select the boxes
  4. To access the lesson, click on the lesson at the correct time and select Join with Google Meet
  5. A box containing an image or blank screen will appear. You must click the boxes at the bottom to ensure your microphone and camera are turned off
  6. Your teacher will be in the lesson already. Please follow their instructions.
  7. If you have questions, please use the chat function in the top right hand corner. Your teacher will remind you about this each lesson.
  8. At the end of the lesson, in addition to other work you are asked to do, you will be asked to complete an exit ticket. This must be done immediately.
  9. Homework will be set and must be done as normal.
  10. There will be no P0 or P6. For Core PE you will be given lessons via Google classroom.

Whilst there is no substitute for being in the classroom with our excellent teachers, we are really proud to be able to provide a good online curriculum offer to our pupils that keeps them learning with high quality lessons.

Years 7-9 

Year 10

Year 11
 

Online Learning- January 2021

Year 11 Students- Year will be completing ‘live’ online lessons delivered by your subject teachers.

  • Students need to log on to google, and click on the link in their google calendar.
  • Your teacher will deliver your lesson ‘live’ as per the timetable through the google meet.
  • Students will be asked to complete an exit ticket quiz at the end of the lesson- this will demonstrate that they have attended and engaged in the lesson.
  • If students have any issues with accessing their google account, please contact their Year leader, Mr Atherton to help resolve this.
